No bake dog treats recipes

Do you want to make no bake dog treats, but don’t want to give sugar to your canine companion? Below we give you two paw licking sweet recipes without sugar, which are easy to make, just choose the one you like the most and do not hesitate to prepare it.

Peanut and coconut cookies

This is one of the easiest and simplest dog treats which you can prepare without using your oven, you only have to mix all the ingredients well and let them cool in the freezer before giving them to your dog. The recipes are very healthy, but we will give you two additional ingredients in case you want to give extra vitamins to your dog and improve his health even more.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup of peanut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric (optional)
  • 1 small silicone cookie cutter

Instructions

  1. Mix all the peanut butter and coconut oil (plus cinnamon and turmeric if you like) in a saucepan.
  2. Put the pot on high heat for a minute while stirring slowly to melt all the ingredients and mix them together.
  3. Let the mixture cool a little and pour it into the mold (or if you don’t have one, try to make cookies on a baking paper).
  4. Put the cookies in the freezer for 25-30 minutes to harden.
  5. When they are hard, just take them out and let them rest for 5 minutes and you can feed them to your dog.

Banana Peanut Butter Cookies

If you liked the previous recipe, you’re going to love this one too, especially, because we are pretty sure you have all these ingredients already at home, so no need to make a trip to the supermarket. This recipe is so good that even you will feel like eating it.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/4 cup milk or water
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt, unsweetened
  • 1 small silicone cookie cutter

Instructions

  1. Mix the yogurt, peanut butter and diced banana in a bowl.
  2. Stir and blend until a homogeneous paste is formed.
  3. Gradually add the milk (or water) until the dough is smooth (you don’t need to use all of it).
  4. Gradually pour the mixture into the mold (or if you don’t have one, try to make cookies on a baking paper).
  5. Put the cookies in the freezer for 25-30 minutes to harden.
  6. When they are hard, just take them out and let them rest for 5 minutes and you can feed them to your dog.

Desserts for dogs without using your oven

If you want to give something less sweet to your dog, like a small daily treat, we know what recipe to recommend. There are no-bake dog desserts with more natural ingredients, focused on cereals, which can also be a very healthy and natural alternative to the rest of the recipes. Is this what you were looking for? Then get your shopping list ready.

Oatmeal, potato and peanut morsels

This is one of our favorite no-bake dog desserts as they are ideal rewards with a high level of protein, no sugar and amazing taste (or at least for them). They are ideal treats as they last a long time in the freezer and fridge after making them.

Ingredients

  • 1 + 1/2 cups of oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup of peanut butter
  • 1 cup of cooked potatoes
  • 1 small silicone cookie cutter

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and put the potatoes in and mash them with a fork.
  2. Add the oatmeal & peanut butter and knead as much as you need until you create a uniform dough.
  3. Make small balls and place them in the silicone mold (or if you don’t have one, try to make cookies on a baking paper).
  4. Put the cookies in the freezer for 25-30 minutes to harden.
  5. When they are hard, just take them out and let them rest for 5 minutes and you can feed them to your dog.

No bake dog cakes

If it’s your dog’s birthday and you want to spoil him, dog cakes are what you are looking for. They are bigger, some even have meat in them and we assure you that they will drive your dog crazy as soon as you put the cake in front of them.

Raw meat pie

It may sound bad to you, but unlike humans, dogs don’t need meat to be cooked to eat it. With this recipe you can make an unforgettable delicious pie, but do not forget to always freeze the meat to kill bacteria.

Ingredients

  • 250 grams of minced duck meat
  • 250 grams of minced beef
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • Several bowls (4 bowls from large to small or equal ones, size adjusted to your dog)

Instructions

  1. Take both meat types and spread each of them respectively over the bowls creating a thin sheet in each.
  2. Place the bowls in the freezer and wait for three hours for it to freeze.
  3. Remove the bowls from the freezer and remove the layers of meat that will now be frozen.
  4. Coat the different layers with a little coconut oil as if it were an adhesive to stick them together while stacking all four of them.
  5. Leave them in the fridge to thaw a bit and they will be ready.

Candy cake

If you want to make a quick, easy and no-bake dog birthday cake, you should be on the lookout for the following recipe. Just combine any of the no-bake dog desserts or treats in this article, or even some dog treats you bought in the store, with meat to make the cake.

Ingredients

  • 10-20 fine dog treats (grain free)
  • 1 can of canned dog food or minced meat (previously frozen)

Instructions

  1. Take your dog’s food bowl and put a good amount of canned dog food or minced meat in it.
  2. Press some of the no-bake dog treats or desserts on top of the layer of meat.
  3. Spread another layer of dog can or meat over the layer of treats, then press the second layer of treats.
  4. Repeat the previous step until you get the size that fits your dog.
  5. Cover the cake with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours.
  6. Take the cake out of the fridge to let it cool down a bit and give it to your dog.
